CHANDRA

Chandra, in her lunar form, represents one of the most antique symbols of humanity and the female maternal archetype for excellence, the Cosmic Mother. In her name, a particular meaning in the cosmic order is sculpted, associated to the inner vision, to the experiences of awakening and illumination, the meeting between duality and traditions. The moon of Chandra represents the depth of our hidden SELF, of the magic, of the esoterism, in the tale of an artistic refined flavor and of an exceptional artisanal tradition that doesn't stop to affect and fascinate, joining Indian tradition and the goldsmith of Western culture. 

Chandra was born by the tale of a dream. The art to combine the abstraction and the simplification of traditional Indian pattern, the splendour of  Moghul architecture and the Western minimalism, an elegance that lightens in its form, that refuses the exotic but continues to express, in the clearest way, the tendency to a contemporary but ever traditional design. High craft, stylistic innovation and anthropological imagination together reconsider the female universe erasing the borders between design and art. A creative effort that grows by the meeting between Davide Solazzi and the designer Ashwath Naroth in the city of Chennai, the fourth biggest city of India, the capital of Tamil Nadu, that materializes in the creation of a timeless jewel.
